英鎊暴跌提振美元，金價出現走低

2月3日，現貨黃金出現下行趨勢，對於即將到來的英歐貿易問題，英國擺出強硬態度，讓英鎊出現暴跌，提振美元的同時也打壓了金價，英國想要學習特朗普的“極限施壓”策略，但不符合英國情況。
英鎊兌美元盤中最大跌幅達到1.20%，回吐上兩個交易日多數漲幅。匯價前兩日暴漲近1.5%，上日創下1月7日以來新高至1.3206。針對未來與歐盟的談判，英國上周日(2月2日)從一開始就擺出強硬立場。
英國首相詹森領導的政府在3月談判開始之前迅速向布魯塞爾發出信號：對他而言，脫歐意味著主權先於經濟。將制定自身的計畫，而非滿足歐盟的規則以確保無摩擦貿易。
英國外交大臣拉布對天空新聞台(Sky News)表示：“我們要拿回對法律的控制權，因此我們不會高度迎合歐盟，在法律上以歐盟的規定作為調整標準，但我們願意合作，希望歐盟堅持對於加拿大式自由貿易協定的承諾。”
儘管英國境內很多企業希望政府能確保商品能夠跨境自由貿易，但政府的最新表態顯然已經明確告知企業——應當作出經營策略調整，準備應對可能的惡局，英鎊市場人氣迅速轉冷。
但歐盟首席脫歐談判代表巴尼爾週一表示，英國的選擇將會奠定未來關係的基礎。不希望英國與歐盟規定產生分歧，導致不公平的競爭發生。
歐盟已經屢次告知英國，對其單一市場的准入水準將取決於英國在多大程度上同意遵守“公平競爭”原則——包括環境標準、就業市場規定和政府支持規定。
詹森似乎有意師從特朗普“極限施壓”的策略，但美國相對世界上任何其他經濟體的優勢顯然是英國無法比擬的，英國絕無可能在不作出任何重大讓步的前提下就如願獲得自己想要的貿易協定。英鎊自1.35開啟的寬幅震盪模式還將持續。
