11月10日，現貨黃金出現大幅度上漲，由於美元出現走軟，引發市場對經濟復蘇的擔憂，加上對財政刺激計畫的預期，讓黃金的避險作用再度發揮，讓金價得到明顯支撐。
分析師表示，在輝瑞消息重塑市場格局24小時後，黃金正試圖找到平衡。預計金價將繼續走高，但這需要更長的時間。黃金的基本面因素仍然相當有利。刺激措施有可能推出，且疫苗問世後，將出現通貨再膨脹。
週一，金價下跌4.6%，創下8月11日以來的最大單日跌幅，此前美國制藥商輝瑞表示，根據初步試驗結果，其新冠疫苗的有效性超過90%，將美國股市推至紀錄高位。不過，隨著對新冠疫情經濟影響程度的擔憂再度浮現，週二股市有所回落。
美國候任總統拜登週二表示，與美國眾議院議長佩洛西好美國參議院少數黨（民主黨）領袖舒默進行了交談，人們現在需要援助法案。
技術面而言，黃金確實承受著巨大的賣盤壓力，但這並不影響黃金的長期走勢。對多頭來說，守住關鍵的技術面支撐也就是9月低點1851美元/盎司水準是很重要的。跌破該水準的話，意味著短期還會進一步下行。
分析師表示，美聯儲有望抑制名義利率的任何實質性上漲，他們預計美國還將推出另一輪規模5000億至1萬億美元的刺激計畫。他們在11月10日的報告中表示，我們仍預計，未來3至6個月，通脹預期將比名義利率上升更快，這可能會使美國實際利率再次降至負1%以下，負實際利率提高了對黃金的需求。
