週一美國國債收益率下降，油價重挫，美股暴跌。道指開跌約2200點，標普500指數開盤即跌超7%，觸發熔斷，全市場開盤後立即暫停交易15分鐘，恢復交易後道指跌幅有所收窄，但尾盤繼續下行，截至收盤，道指跌12.94%，報20186.55點，險守二萬點關口，標普500指數跌11.98%，報2386點，納指跌12.32%，報6904點。美國股市錄得1929年以來首次連續三天收盤漲跌幅大於9%。
隨著疫情繼續迅速蔓延，貴金屬與更大範圍的市場一起遭拋售，一些投資者為滿足追加保證金要求被迫賣出資產；工業生產中大量使用的貴金屬加入整個金融市場的大跌行情。用於柴油車減排的鉑金創歷史最大跌幅；白銀價格觸及十多年來最低水準；去年漲幅領跑所有主要大宗商品的鈀金創1993年以來最大六日跌幅。
