美參議院第11次表決撥款法案仍未通過 政府“停擺”持續
當地時間10月20日，美國參議院第11次就政府撥款法案進行投票表決，仍未獲得通過，因此美國政府自10月1日開始的“停擺”繼續。該法案原計畫將政府資金延長至11月21日，最終以50票贊成、43票反對未達通過所需的60票門檻。
美核安全管理局開始強制休假
美國聯邦政府“停擺”即將滿三周了。當地時間10月20日，負責美國核武器儲存管理的關鍵機構——美國國家核安全管理局開始讓大部分員工強制休假。這是該機構自成立以來，首次遭遇此類情況。
美聯儲傳聲筒：美國銀行準備金已降至臨界水準
“美聯儲傳聲筒”Nick Timiraos表示，隨著美國財政部重建其現金餘額，銀行準備金占銀行資產的比例近期已降至13%以下。紐約聯儲主席威廉姆斯此前曾將這一水準視為準備金“充足”的臨界點。
