IMF小幅下調2021年全球增長預測
國際貨幣基金組織(IMF)周二下調了美國和其他主要工業化大國的增長前景，並表示持續的供應鏈中斷和物價壓力阻礙了全球經濟從新冠疫情中的複蘇。
IMF的《世界經濟展望》將2021年全球增長率預測從7月時的6.0%下調至5.9%，並維持2022年增長率預測在4.9%不變。
美國在這些影響中首當其衝，IMF將其2021年美國經濟增長率預測從7月預估的7.0%整整下調了一個百分點，降至6.0%–7月的預測增速被視為1984年以來最強勁速度。

8月職位空缺減少65.9萬
美國8月自願辭職人數激升至創紀錄高點，而招聘人數則出現八個月來最大降幅，突顯出企業在試圖填補數百萬職位空缺時面臨的困難。
美國勞工部周二公布的月度職位空缺和人員流動調查報告(JOLTS)顯示，8月最後一天，衡量勞動力需求的職位空缺減少了65.9萬，至1040萬。這是美國經濟正與短缺作鬥爭的又一反映。短缺正推高通脹，抑制增長。上周五公布的數據顯示，美國9月新增就業崗位為九個月來最低。
8月辭職人數增加了大約24.2萬人，總數達到430萬人，創曆史新高。辭職率從7月的2.7%上升到8月的2.9%，創曆史新高。
招聘減少43.9萬，至630萬。招聘率從7月的4.6%下降到4.3%。
