鮑威爾澄清減碼時機，美元創逾一個月新高
周三(9月22日)美元升至逾一個月高位，因美聯儲主席鮑威爾稱在2022年中之前結束減碼可能是合適的；在美聯儲聲明發布後不久，市場出現了震蕩走勢，因交易員們評估一些鷹派信號和不明確減碼時間表的影響。現貨黃金衝高回落，盤中最高觸及1787.36美元/盎司，尾盤跌至1768美元附近，美聯儲官員暗示可能很快就會開始縮減債券購買計劃，並透露越來越傾向于在2022年開始加息。美油收高2.5% 創近一周來最高收盤價，盡管美國上周汽油庫存小幅上升，但原油庫存的連續下降仍使油價得到支撐。
鮑威爾澄清減碼時間
美聯儲主席鮑威爾表示：“如果經濟進展繼續，可能很快就會保障美聯儲開始減碼QE。漸進地減碼QE將在2022年年中左右結束/完成。減碼QE並不直接發出加息信號。FOMC成員們對減碼QE的時間點和減碼速度的支持非常廣泛。美聯儲仍將實施資産購買，但是時候開始減碼QE了。已經在通脹方面取得實質性進展。通脹預期體現出通脹過衝（升穿目標）的程度“非常溫和”。大量FOMC成員稱，就業市場正試圖取得實質性進展。到下一次FOMC貨幣政策會議，可能會滿足就業和物價考驗。”
美聯儲決議維持聯邦基金利率
美聯儲決議聲明：“維持聯邦基金利率目標區間在0%-0.25%不變，維持貼現利率在0.25%不變。利率預期（點陣圖）顯示，FOMC成員們對是否在2022年加息的看法五五開——為20世紀80年代以來首次。經濟和就業形勢已經繼續走強。通脹高企，很大程度上體現出那些暫時性因素的影響。紐約聯儲上調隔夜逆回購（ON RRP）交易對手的限制至1600億美元。”
