美聯儲維持利率不變，強力支撐經濟

11月6日，美聯儲公佈11月利率會議，維持當前利率不變，符合市場預期。同時本次美聯儲決議聲明中，美聯儲措辭相對中立，再次重複將使用所有工具支撐經濟，在美國大選出結果前，美聯儲官員保持謹慎。
利率方面，美聯儲將基準利率維持在0%-0.25%不變，符合市場預期。美聯儲將超額準備金率（IOER）維持在0.1%不變。將貼現利率維持在0.25%不變。重申承諾使用所有工具支撐美國經濟。
疫情方面，美聯儲重申新冠病毒使得經濟活動承壓。重申新冠病毒大流行對中期經濟前景構成相當大的風險。
經濟表現上，美聯儲認為當前需求疲軟，以及早些時候油價下跌抑制了消費者價格通脹。而當前整體金融狀況仍寬鬆。經濟活動和就業繼續恢復。尋求實現通脹率在一段時間內適度高於2%，以使長期通脹均值達到2%。
在本周的會議上，美聯儲重點關注新冠肺炎病例激增背景下的經濟狀況，以及缺乏新的財政支持對經濟前景的嚴重影響。
到了三季度，隨著人們對病毒認知的不斷深入，新冠疫情對人的健康安全的侵害由不確定性變得清晰起來，加之社區隔離、企業倒閉、雇傭失業等導致居民收入銳減等，人們愈發覺得在新冠肺炎給其健康帶來的損害變得具有確定性後，繼續損失收入變得愈發不能容忍。
分析指出，不管誰擔任總統，美聯儲主席鮑威爾都會給予貨幣政策上的支持，提供他們需要的貨幣刺激政策。不過貨幣刺激政策規模仍將取決於哪個政黨取得白宮和國會的控制權。民主黨還是共和黨勝選對美聯儲的影響差異，要到2023年或2024年才能體現出來。
如果特朗普勝選，鮑威爾有可能被換掉。但也有分析指出，特朗普也很難任命更加順從的人擔任美聯儲主席一職，因為他在共和黨參議院的影響力也有限。如果拜登贏得總統之位，其上任後，美聯儲料將需要更長時間維持寬鬆的貨幣政策立場，甚至為了降低少數族裔失業率而暫時忽略通脹飆升的風險。
