金價因大量平倉而回落，失守關口

2月24日的美盤時間中，金價出現明顯回落，失守1660關口，雖然美元指數的回升讓金價有所承壓，但主要原因是黃金漲幅過於明顯，多頭積累豐厚利潤，出現大量交易單平倉而引起的行情回落。
大田環球表示，市場對全球公共衛生事件的擔憂推動黃金大幅上漲，但市場的擔憂或許有些過度了。疫情在中國的傳播速度已經放緩，雖然目前全球其他地區逐漸出現確診病例激增的情況，但預期疫情最終能夠得到遏制。因此，當恐慌消退時，市場的避險需求可能會下降，金價出現修正是可能的，但這並不意味著黃金將會走向熊市。
黃金的牛市已經開始一段時間，最重要的是，近期市場的恐懼壓低了長期利率，收益率曲線再度倒掛。曲線的倒掛將會重燃市場對經濟衰退的擔憂，進而推動美聯儲於今年至少降息一次。隨著恐慌的加劇與收益率的不斷下降，美聯儲可能被迫再次干預。在這樣的環境下，黃金繼續走高的可能性較高。
紐約商品交易所黃金期貨市場交投最活躍的4月黃金期價24日比前一交易日上漲27.8美元，收於每盎司1676.6美元，漲幅為1.69%。R市場現在受到了驚嚇，人們擔心的不是疫情本身，而是對經濟方面的問題。道鐘斯工業指數驟降約一千點，公債收益率也下跌。
近日義大利、韓國和伊朗報告的新增病例急劇上升，阿富汗和伊拉克報告國內首例病例；世界衛生組織(WHO)表示，對與中國沒有明顯聯繫的病例不斷上升感到擔憂。
美國三個月國庫券和10年期公債收益率曲線進一步倒置，分析師認為收益率曲線倒置是經濟衰退的信號。指標10年期公債收益率日內跌逾10個基點，刷新2016年7月以來低點至1.350%。利率期貨市場顯示，美聯儲7月或之前降息的可能性超過80%。
