坦白来说，特朗普的生活习惯确实“隐患重重”。他是一个人尽皆知的垃圾食品迷，并且，除了常规的打打高尔夫球之外，并不是一个健身爱好者。分析人士因而列举出了特朗普可能存在的下述健康问题：
首先，特朗普至少超重50磅。现年70岁的特朗普身高6英尺3英寸(190.5厘米)，体重236磅(107公斤)。他的体重指数(BMI)为29.5 ，虽然这在胖人满街走的美国并不出众，但毕竟按医学定义接近肥胖的范畴，这一数值也意味着他需要减重36磅，才能达到正常的水平。
其次，特朗普讨厌运动，在上次G-10会议期间，他被发现即便在打高尔夫球时也要乘坐球车，并且在走上山坡时击球尽显疲态。
更糟糕的还有特朗普的饮食习惯：一位美国特勤局特工表示，他从未看到过任何人有比特朗普更坏的饮食习惯，特朗普甚至从未当着他的下属的面吃过任何一块水果。而特朗普爱吃的食物包括熟透的牛排、汉堡和炸薯条等，而这些通常都被人们视为“垃圾食品”。
分析师还指出，自去年大选期间以来，特朗普已一年多没有做体检了，即使如果有的话，结果也未被公布。对此，白宫没有回应记者的置评请求。
《纽约时报》去年也深入地探讨过总统的生活方式，并指出除了不吸烟酗酒之外，特朗普几乎拥有所有可能引发心血管疾病的高危因素。而美国总统的健康状况，在相当大程度上会影响到市场投资者的风险情绪，当年，无论是艾森豪威尔总统于任内发作心脏病，还是里根总统接受肿瘤手术时，美国股市都出现了相当幅度的下跌。
