周三（11月17日）亚洲时段，现货黄金交投于1852附近。周二（11月16日）金价冲高回落，因美国零售销售数据好于预期，美元及美股上涨施压金价，但高通胀继续支撑金价在高位运行。日内主要关注美国房地产数据以及英国通胀。
美元触及16个月最高，美国发布强劲零售销售数据
美元周二触及16个月高位，此前数据显示，美国消费者对价格上涨视而不见，10月零售销售高于预期，而欧元急挫，受累于增长担忧和欧洲新冠病例再度激增。
美国10月零售销售增长1.7%，预估为增长1.4%，这可能是由于疫情持续，美国民众急切地提前开始假日购物，以避免在一些商品短缺的情况下货架空空。
自上周数据显示，美国消费者物价指数(CPI)创1990年以来最大升幅以来，美元一直在上涨，这加剧了人们对美联储可能比预期更早加息的臆测。
欧元兑美元扩大跌幅，尾盘下跌0.42%，创16个月新低。
欧洲央行行长拉加德周一表示，目前收紧货币政策以遏制通胀可能会扼杀欧元区的复苏，这反驳了有关紧缩政策的呼声和市场押注。
BDSwiss Holding Ltd投资研究主管Marshall Gittler表示，欧元下跌反映出欧元区经济相对于美国的表现令人失望，与欧元区相比，美国经济意外上行程度更大。
他称，欧洲新冠病例再次激增，这导致一些国家考虑再次实施封锁，而美国的情况目前似乎已经稳定下来。
美股收涨，因美国10月零售销售增幅超预期
美国股市周二收高，因家得宝公布的业绩和零售销售数据显示消费支出强劲，缓解了对美联储可能在通胀上升之际采取更激进举措的担忧。
数据显示，10月零售销售较前月跃升1.7%，为3月以来的最大增幅，高于1.4%的预期，表明美国人已经提前开始节日购物，以避免供应链紧张导致的商品短缺。
家居修缮用品零售商家得宝股价大涨5.73%，收于纪录高位，创下自2020年4月以来最大单日百分比涨幅，此前发布的季度销售超出预期近20亿美元，且轻松超过每股获利预期。
道琼斯工业指数上涨0.15%，标普500指数上涨0.39%，纳斯达克指数上涨0.76%。
标普非必需消费品股攀升1.38%，在11个主要板块中表现最佳，零售股上涨1.24%，连续第二个交易日创下收盘纪录高位。
