1、设置止损的价位：止损的点数是根据个人的交易情况不同而定的，以伦敦金为例，通常建议投资者设置止损的价位在4美元左右属于合理范围。止损太小，容易被洗掉，止损太大，又容易导致不必要的亏损，一般来说，止损定为四美元是比较中和稳妥的，只要我们进场的时机不是很差，一旦突破，就会用伦敦金锁仓的方式获利，因此，止盈这一块如果行情活跃，则必须养成设置移动止损的习惯。
2、止损又称移动止损：移动止损的意思就是说，在投资者设置止损的时候，可以根据当前的价格不断调节，而移动止损一般调30点左右即可，至于具体的设置，主要是根据投资者对投资方向需要不断调整的。
3、止损的根据：对伦敦金交易来说，设置止损的根据是由当天交易的“支撑位”和“压力位”的不同来设置的。支撑位是指在伦敦金下跌时可能遇到支撑，从而止跌回稳的价位；而阻力位则是指在伦敦金上升时可能遇到压力，从而反转下跌的价位。
贵金属止损的设置是非常重要的，原因在于，降低风险和以3成的风险换取7成的利润。因此，综合上述来说，贵金属止损其实就是控制风险，是交易的一个环节，合理的设置才能提高投资的收益。
