2013年全球ETP管理资产规模减39%

《Kitco News》报导，英国基金公司ETF Securities（ETFS）1月7日发布报告表示，2013年底全球商品ETP（交易所交易产品）管理资产规模较2012年底的1,998亿美元大减39%至1,222亿美元，主要是受到黄金ETP管理资产由1,466亿美元减至759亿美元的影响。ETFS以美元评估ETP的管理资产规模，因不同的商品ETP有不同的计量单位，如黄金的盎司、铜的公吨、原油的桶等；而贵金属ETP持有实物金属，反观其他能源以及农产品ETP则为期货合约。
ETFS投资研究策略主管布鲁克斯（Nicholas Brooks）表示，去年商品ETP管理资产的减幅创下史上新高，而黄金ETP管理资产减少710亿美元即占了91%比重，其中有46%是来自于去年金价大跌28%的影响，另外54%则来自于ETP资产的流出（赎回），黄金ETP所持有的黄金数量较2012年底的8,462万盎司，下滑至2013年底的5,667万盎司。2013年，非黄金的商品ETP管理资产仅减少69亿美元至463亿美元，其中有91%均是源自于商品价格的下跌，赎回则只占9%或6.06亿美元。贵金属当中，铂金与钯金ETP的管理资产均出现增加，铂金ETP由26亿美元增加至36亿美元，钯金ETP由13.8亿美元增加至14.2亿美元；铂金与钯金ETP分别吸引了13亿美元与8.41亿美元的资金净流入。白银ETP的管理资产则由177亿美元降至121亿美元。
农产品当中以咖啡ETP去年吸引创纪录的2.03亿美元资金流入表现最佳，因咖啡价格跌至七年新低吸引投资人逢低进场，反观整体农产品ETP则有4,200万美元的资金流出。石油与天然气ETP去年也分别有15亿美元与6.87亿美元的资金流出。布鲁克斯表示，2014年的商品展望主要受到总体经济环境的影响，如果全球经济能够持续复苏，则除了黄金以外的其他商品将普遍能够受惠于需求的提振，特别是那些预期将有明显供给过剩的商品。至于金价的负面展望则已经完全反映在去年的跌势当中了，对金价不利的因素包括全球的利率回升，以及美元走强与美国经济复苏等；不过，一旦情况出现变化，则黄金仍会是投资人最佳的避险选项之一。
