中国大陆自香港进口黄金创第四高记录

11月2日报导，2013年9月份中国大陆自香港净进口黄金数量为109.4公吨，虽为连续第二个月下降，但同时也创下史上第四高纪录，仅次于今年3月(136.2公吨)、7月(113公吨)、8月(110.5公吨)；今年1-9月累计达851公吨。zerohedge预估2009年迄今中国已添购逾2,500公吨的黄金，使其超越德国跃居全球第二大黄金储备国、且每个月还以100公吨的数量继续往上增加。
彭博社4日报导，2007年2月著作「Crash Proof: How to Profit From the Coming Economic Collapse」准确领先预言2008年金融风暴的欧洲太平洋资本(Euro Pacific Capital)公司总裁彼得席夫(Peter D. Schiff)在受访时指出，黄金价格可望在1年内写下2,000美元/盎司的历史新纪录。
席夫还提到，奥巴马(Barack Obama)在第二任总统任期结束(2017年1月20日)前美国将宣告无力偿还债务、美元汇价将崩跌、恶性通货膨胀将随着出现、金价将狂涨。高盛证券10月18日则是指出，美国景气将会好转、美元将会走升，金价将在2014年底跌至1,050美元/盎司。
resourceinvestor.com 8月8日报导，南非标准银行(Standard Bank)黄金实体流动指针显示，自现货黄金价格跌破每盎司1,300美元价位后亚洲地区黄金需求就出现转强迹象。嘉实XQ全球赢家系统的报价显示，黄金现货价自6月底出现一波反弹以来，8月初曾短暂回跌至每盎司1,300美元之下；10月1日再度跌破1,300美元大关、但2日即重新站上1,300美元。紧接着，接近10月中旬有5个交易日收在1,300美元之下。若从周线来看，7月下旬起迄今黄金仅有一周收在1,300美元之下。
