黄金现货价格上周五 (23 日) 冲破每盎司 1400 美元，创 6 月以来首见。且根据美国商品期货交易委员会 (CFTC) 最新统计，避险基金及其他投机投资人做多金价规模也扩升至 6 个月新高。因美国经济成长出现减缓迹象，新屋销售不如预期，引发市场揣测美国联准会 (Fed) 将维持现有量化宽松 (QE) 货币刺激措施。
《彭博社》报导，CFTC 数据显示，至上周二 (20 日) 截止的一周，看多金价的期货及选择权合约净部位跃增 29% 至 73216 件；其中看空金价部位连续第 2 周萎缩，降至 2 月 12 月来新低。
黄金现货价格上周五在纽约一度冲上每盎司 1400.38 美元，创 6 月 7 日以来新高；尽管稍晚跌回每盎司 1396.30 美元，涨幅仍达 1.5%。纽约期货市场 Comex 黄金价格上周五收盘也跃增 1.8% 至 1395.80 美元，盘中一度冲上 1399.90 美元。
