BDSwiss投资研究主管Marshall Gittler表示：“数据比预期的要好，但不足以改变任何人对正在发生的事情、或缩减购债步伐或周五数据的看法。它刚好在预估范围内。”
周三公布的ADP全国就业报告远逊于预期。周五，美国政府将公布8月就业报告。据估计，非农就业岗位增加75万个，失业率从5.4%降至5.2%。
由于美联储政策的不确定性，美元走势低迷。上周五，美联储主席杰鲍威尔表示，联储可能会在今年开始逐步缩减刺激措施，但并不急于采取行动。
Gittler说：“他们已经明确了自己的立场，他们说，除非情况急转直下，否则他们今年将开始缩减购债，所以除非某个月，或者可能是几个月的就业数据远逊预期，否则他们不会推迟缩减够债。”
非农就业或显示德尔塔疫情影响
随着美联储官员们热烈讨论今年晚些时候缩减债券购买，投资者将关注定于周五公布的非农就业报告，以了解美国劳动力市场状况。
调查经济学家预测中值显示，8月就业人口可能增加72.5万，比前两个月的增速有所放缓，但强于今年年初的增幅。
强劲的数据将表明，在持续数月有限的劳动力供应后，企业在招聘方面取得了更多成功。但与德尔塔毒株相关的风险可能意味着非农就业数据弱于预期，并使美联储缩减资产购买的时间表复杂化。
美国银行经济学家发布报告称，“就业活动的疲软将与其他经济数据相符，这些经济数据自从德尔塔毒株导致新冠病例数激增以来已经走软。”他们预计8月非农就业人口增加60万。
上述经济学家们表示，“如果我们的就业数据预测成真，这种疲软程度可能足以让美联储希望在减码前看到更多数据。”
该报告还将显示，在超过一半的州提前结束联邦补充失业救济金之后，是否有更多美国人在寻找工作。劳动力参与率近一年来一直维持在1970年代以来最低水平附近。
