新屋数据初见成效 黄金走软
纽约商品交易所黄金期货市场6月黄金期价5月23日收于每盎司1293美元，比前一交易日下滑1.10美元，跌幅为0.09%。白银期货跌幅0.05%，报每盎司19.48美元。
4月新屋销售高于预期：美国商务部5月23日公布的数据显示，美国4月新屋销售年化月率上升6.4%，总数年化43.3万户，高于预期，这是楼市经过一个增长缓慢的冬季后出现复苏的最新迹象。数据反映美联储一直看重的美国房产数据终于初见成效，继5月22日出炉的成屋销售数据创下四个月以来的新高后，新屋销售数据的靓丽增强了联储官员关于结束量化宽松计划和使用新利率工具的信心，市场将强化美联储加息的预期，从而降低美元流动性，以美元计价的黄金因而下挫。
乌克兰糖果业大亨获胜：当地时间5月25日，乌克兰总统候选人波罗申科出席新闻发布会，宣布自己在乌克兰总统选举中获胜。波罗申科是乌克兰糖果业大亨，曾担任过外交部长、经济部长。然而，乌东部被亲俄分子控制的地区未能顺利参与选举投票，这导致波罗申科总统地位合法性遭到质疑。由于大选全过程较为平静，没有被亲俄份子捣乱，场面也没有打斗流血事件发生，大选结束后黄金对此反应平淡，未能引发新一轮的避险需求。
