现货黄金市场2016年8月18日4点整收于每盎司1346.3美元，较前一交易日相比，上涨了0.4美元，涨幅0.03%。现货白银较前一交易日下跌了0.61%，报19.65美元。
美联储7月纪要较预期偏鸽派：周四凌晨，美联储公布的会议记录显示，FOMC委员对美国经济前景和就业市场整体上乐观，但多位委员不赞成短期内加息，唯恐未来就业增长放缓，决策者普遍认为下次升息前需看到更多数据，总体来看，纪要较预期偏鸽派。这打压美元由升转跌，从而为黄金提供上涨动能，大幅拉升金价。
日本7月进出口双双下滑：日本财务省周四公布数据显示，因日元升值侵蚀了对外出口值，日本7月出口较上年同期下滑14.0%，进口较上年同期下滑24.7%，同时创下了2009年10月以来最大跌幅。这或将成为刺激日本再度宽松的依据，从而使市场的避险情绪重新升温，提振金价。
