美元小幅波动：周四亚太时段，美元波动不大，西方国家市场大多已休市，迎接圣诞和年底假期，市场交投淡静，美元指数略微走软至98.16，远低于上周四所触及的99.29高点。美元指数恢复升息前的水平，表明美指目前比较疲软，这对黄金构成利好，从而促使国际金价反弹。
叙利亚愿意参加和谈：叙利亚总统阿萨德的顾问周三表示，叙利亚当局愿意参加联合国牵头的和谈，她还表示，对于联合国安理会通过的有关叙利亚和平路线图的决议，阿萨德政府表示赞同。其中，这些决议包括呼吁停火、叙利亚政府和反对派对话、成立过渡政府、举行大选。叙利亚愿意参加会谈，并同意联合国决议，在一定程度上缓解了叙利亚紧张的局势，这将削弱市场对黄金的避险需求，从而利空黄金。
