美国初请新低 重挫黄金
黄金期货市场2015年8月黄金期价7月23日收于每盎司1089.4美元，比前一交易日在下跌了3.6美元，跌幅为0.33%。白银期货下跌了0.88%，报14.63美元。
美国初请创40年来最佳：美国劳工部周四公布的数据显示，美国7月18日季调后初请失业金人数骤减2.6万至25.5万，远低于市场预期，且创下1973年以来的最低水平，继续化解7月初可能与年中工厂关停以及学校暑假相关的猛增。与此同时，美国芝加哥联储周四公布的数据显示，6月芝加哥联储全国活动指数劲增，创下去年12月以来最高。初请创下40年来最低水平表明，美国就业市场依然处于强劲复苏的态势，另外，芝加哥联储活动指数创新高，表明美国经济活动复苏二季度末呈现加速反弹迹象，这皆表明当前美国经济发展迅猛，这为美联储加息提供了有力依据，助涨美元，从而重挫黄金。
全球各地金币销量大增：7月美国鹰金币的销量则已经达到了11万盎司，是两年最高需求量。在印度市场，7月通常来说是比较清淡的月份，但出现了一些需求的增长。在香港市场，金饰销量较上个月上涨了20%至30%。澳大利亚佩斯铸币局的金币销量也有上涨，6月销量就同比有37%的涨幅。此外，佩斯铸币局的国际销量方面，美国和欧洲都销量都表现强劲。由于国际金价的暴跌，引起了全球各地金币金条销量大增，这说明市场对黄金的需求正在复苏，这或将为正在下行的金价提供有力的支撑。
