汇丰PMI数据创5月新低：受新订单和价格指数大幅下滑拖累，汇丰银行和数据编撰机构周二联合公布的数据显示，中国12月采购经理人指数预览值降至49.5，创5月以来最低水准。这反映国内需求仍然低迷，制造业延续下滑态势，未来几个月政策需进一步放松。疲软的PMI数据预示12月份经济减速脚步在加快，经济下行风险依然未消、通缩风险持续增大，将增强人民币看跌情绪，对国际金价构成利空。
俄罗斯紧急加息650基点：周二，俄罗斯央行紧急加息650个基点，宣布将关键利率上调至17%，为数年来首次，此前卢布汇率一度暴跌15%。同时，俄罗斯央行上调存款利率650个基点至16%，上调回购利率650个基点至18%，旨在阻止卢布贬值势头和抑制通胀风险。在俄罗斯央行宣布加息后，卢布在汇市中大举反弹，令看涨美元兑卢布的投资者口瞪目呆，并使其于日内急速下挫，为金价的进一步回落带来一定支撑。
