4月人民币实际有效汇率创16个月新低
国际清算银行(BIS)公布数据显示，4月人民币实际有效汇率指数大降1.84%至126.14，创16个月新低，同时录得2014年4月以来最大单月跌幅，上月调整后跌幅为1.70%。
此外，4月人民币名义有效汇率指数五连降至121.31，创17个月新低，当月降幅1.34%，较上月的0.75%明显扩大。
数据还显示，1-4月名义有效汇率累计下跌3.65%，实际有效汇率则累计下降3.05%；而去年人民币实际有效汇率涨3.93%，名义有效汇率涨3.66%，均现连六年上升。
由于实际有效汇率是经过通胀调整的，名义汇率降幅小于实际汇率，表明当前中国的整体通胀水平要低于可比较的国家的通胀水平。
此前，中国国家统计局发布的数据显示，4月份，中国居民消费价格总水平，也就是CPI同比上涨2.3%，略低于市场预期。分析人士指出，CPI连续三个月涨幅超过2%，猪肉等食品价格的持续上涨是主要因素。
中国外汇交易中心公布的BIS权重的人民币汇率指数4月下跌1.03%，逼近下方98关口支撑。
2014年人民币实际和名义有效汇率涨幅均较2013年放缓至6.4%；2013年两者分别升值7.9%和7.2%，较2012年的2.2%和1.7%明显上升 。
据中国外汇交易中心的最新数据显示，5月17人民币对美元汇率中间价报6.5200，较上一日中间价6.5343上涨143个基点。
4月以来，人民币对美元汇率中间价有所升值，但收盘汇率和人民币汇率指数均小幅贬值，这既与一篮子货币汇率变动有关，也反映了市场供求因素。一方面，4月份以来市场对美联储加息预期进一步减弱，美元回落，在美元对其他货币贬值的情况下，为保持人民币对一篮子货币汇率相对稳定，人民币对美元汇率中间价随之升值。
